The Wikipedia definition:"A blog (a contraction of the term "Web log") is a Web site, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog."
Blogs enable you to share online your thoughts, pictures and videos publicly. They are free (amazing) and have wide ranging applications for education, work and personal sharing.
For example, I am sharing pictures I took at the Hay Estate in Newbury, NH last summer. You can see the sculpture exhibition there and my son and daughter. Now, instantly, you all know something about the Hay Estate and my children. You also now know my daughter loves cats.
Great pics!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! :) Love them.. my Dad is an artist and takes many, many pictures such as these and then paints beautiful pictures from them.
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures! May I ask where you took them? If that is your house I'm so jealous. Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOk, I see it's not your house. Looked at pics, then read what you wrote. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHi Laura - I wish it were my house! It is the Hay Estate in Newbury overlooking big Lake Sunapee. The gardens are wonderful. It's a great place to explore and just be...very soothing and beautiful. It used to belong to the Secretary of State for Abe Lincoln. Now it's a public place. They also sell great flowers and plants. The house itself is really interesting inside too.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Paul
Thanks Kim. That was a great day - the sculpture exhibit was amazing. My son and I had fun wandering around and taking pictures.
ReplyDeleteI like the first photo...what is that and where is that? It can't be real, right? It must be digitally produced?
ReplyDeleteI loved the photos to of the Hay Estate. Great modern sculpture works.
ReplyDeleteI like cats too.

Thanks for all your comments. The pictures are all real. The Hay Estate is a wonderful place to visit in Newbury, NH on big Lake Sunapee off Route 103. Route 89 north to exit 12, go left at end of exit ramp, go left onto Rte 103 almost immediately and drive about 3 miles. The Hay Estate is on the right. In spring there are wonderful flowering rhododendrons.
